All human beings should learn before they die

What they are running from, and to, and why

Each should give without need of reply

And learn to choose from what’s easy or right

One part humility and one part sanity,

Both bind the fissures of our humanity

The timid and the wicked wrestle identities,

And fix their gaze on each other intently

Too often there are no reasons to smile,

As if each step drags on for endless miles

They say attitude is not a speech as it is a style,

Life is a crowded theatre with no exit aisles

Broken hearts are from giving love a try,

Yet not every ending needs a sad goodbye

For those who abide to wearing a disguise,

This world needs more heroes than weary spies

There are nights I lie awake
Tracing patterns in the air
Just before daylight breaks
Into a secret world I stare

Effortlessly I fly above
Dragons, angels, and lairs
Music only fairies sing of
Floats gently everywhere

Shimmering in the water
Swims crystal fish that talk
Over by the flowers there
Are elves who pick shamrocks

Chattering from above
Are playful stars that shine
Their brilliant rays of light
On all of God's design

This secret world I keep
Lays dormant in my mind
A sweet escape from sleep
My dreams lay undefined
